Strong beer cake for Father's Day! The beer makes the cake very fluffy and moist. The combination with the chocolate shavings makes this cake so delicious!
The recipe is super easy and quick to make. If you like the malt taste, you can use a dark strong beer (bock beer). The malt note provides a taste surprise.

Bundt cake 22 cm in diameter |
200 g | Butter soft |
160 g | Sugar |
100 g | Chocolate, bittersweet |
4 | Eggs |
250 g | Flour |
1 Pck. | Baking powder |
1 Pck. | Vanilla sugar |
1 Socket | Salt |
1 | Lemon (zest) |
125 ml | Stark beer (Bock beer) |
Icing | |
250 g | Powdered sugar |
50 ml | Stark beer (Bock beer) |
Preparation

Grate the couverture

Grease the brownie or springform pan very well

Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan oven)

Cream together the butter and sugar

Gradually stir in the eggs

Add the beer, lemon zest, vanilla sugar, salt and grated couverture and stir in
- Mix the flour and baking powder together and stir into the mixture until you have a smooth batter
- Pour the batter into the greased Gugelhupf tin and bake for approx. minutes
Chopstick test: prick the cake with a wooden stick. There shouldn't be any sticky dough sticking to it. Then the cake is baked and ready.
Preparation of icing

Mix the powdered sugar with the beer until you get a smooth icing

Pour the icing over the cooled cake
