Berry Heart Cake

The heart shape makes the cake extra pretty! Of course, this can also be baked in a round springform pan.

for the dough

150 g Butter or Margarine
150 g Flour
100 g Sugar
3 Eggs
1 Pinch Salt
2 tbsp Cocoa
3 tbsp Milk
3 TL Backpulver
1 Pck. Vanilla sugar


For the cream

250 g Curd
200 g Whipped cream
50 g Sugar
1 Pck. Vanilla sugar
1 Pck. Cream stiffener
350 g Fresh berries

  1. Grease the springform pan and preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C for a fan oven).

  2. Cream the butter with the sugar
  3. Gradually add the eggs and stir

  4. Sift the flour with the baking powder and cocoa and stir into the mixture alternately with the milk

  5. Bake the dough for about 25 minutes

  6. Let the cake base cool down after baking

  7. Mix the quark with the sugar and vanilla sugar until smooth. 

  8. Whip the cream with the whipped cream stiffener and fold into the quark mixture

  9. Place the springform pan around the cake base again and spread the quark mixture over it
  10. Arrange the berries on top and chill the cake for at least 2 hours

  11. Place the mycusini chocolate cake decoration on top
